About this trip

Sataya Reef (also called Dolphin House) sits further south than the more commonly visited Samadai lagoon, which means a longer sail — but a quieter one. This full-day cruise leaves early from Marsa Alam, Port Ghalib or El Quseir, driving to Hamata Harbour before boarding a well-equipped boat for two snorkeling stops across the reef's coral gardens.

Because it's a longer trip to reach, boat traffic is noticeably lighter than closer dolphin spots, which tends to make for calmer encounters. Lunch and drinks are served on board between stops, and the crew keep groups small by design.
